At Viachem, giving back has always landed at the top of our list of priorities. Through a variety of philanthropic institutions, we are able to sponsor and support incredible people and organizations. Viachem strives to impact both the local community and larger-scale movements. Through engagement with National Chemistry Week through the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, Feed the City, DFW Canines for Veterans and the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, we’re able to leave an impact, big and small.
DFW Canines for Veterans
DFW Canines for Veterans is a 501c3 non profit organization dedicated to training service dogs with disabled combat Veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (PTSD). DFW Canines for Veterans pulls 98-99% of their dogs from city kill shelters that pass our lengthy and vigorous evaluation from their trainers. Once a veteran is accepted into the program, they start searching for their service dog. DFW Canines for Veterans start training the service dog in training and the veteran together. This forms an extremely tight bond. The service dogs are trained by the Director of Training and according to the veterans needs and disabilities.
